For those wanting something other than Sufjan Stevens this week, How To Dress Well (aka Tom Krell) has been garnering some well-deserved hype. Sampling Michael Jackon’s ‘Baby Be Mine’, this track is pretty sweet, however not my favourite.  That would be ‘Decisions’ which you can listen to on his MySpace.

You may know 18 year old Harlem rapper Miss Banks (aka Azealia) from the Nike 1Love series spotlighting each of the 5 boroughs in New York, or from her verse-dropping on Major Lazer EPs.  Not only can she freestyle, but she’s got a pretty crazy-good singing voice to boot. Album out later this year on XL.

Bethany Cosentino aka Best Coast recently featured this song on one of her highly addictive mixtapes (this girl has some seriously good taste in music) and it reminded me of how effortlessly cool Aretha is.  This track was released as a single with her other classic ‘Son Of A Preacher Man’ as the B-side. Epic.

I’m actually not really into the majority of the tracks on (TV On The Radio) Dave Sitek’s  solo project Maximum Balloon (even considering its all-star cast of artists like Theophilus London, Karen O, Little Dragon, David Byrne etc). However this track featuring Katrina Ford is a beautiful exception.
